Reading Groups

You may have heard about reading groups, and wondered what they were and how to participate in one. Essentially, a reading group is a collection of people who get together and discuss a book. Reading groups typically meet once a month and discuss a book that all members have read prior to the meeting. Reading groups can be formed to discuss all sorts of books such as science fiction, history, and best sellers.

Many New Age topics are ideal for group discussion because of the many unconventional views presented. Some topics may generate uncertainty and questions, while other topics can generate compassion and discussion of similar experiences among members. The dynamics of group discussion can be enjoyable for many.

However, we feel that one of the most rewarding benefits of our New Age reading group is simply getting together with like-minded people who share a common interest. It's feels great to take time out of a busy week and spend some time talking about ideas and thoughts important to us today.

If you have an interest, I wholeheartedly recommend you join an existing reading group, or simply start your own! Just select the first few books, select some dates, and invite some friends. You may be pleasantly surprised with the results!

Realize that if you encounter information that rings true for you, it may be a good idea to share it with others who may also benefit. Thus this cycle allows for new information to come through you again, in a never-ending cycle of learning, personal growth and enlightenment.
